The Marchesini Group has grown once again. The company has acquired M.A.R. S.p.A., a Milan-based company specialising in the construction of machines for packaging liquids and powders in glass and plastic bottles, syringes and other containers for the pharmaceutical industry.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Founded in 1967 by Silvio Pravettoni, M.A.R. S.p.A. is perhaps best known for the construction of one of the world's first packaging lines for pharmaceutical products with sterile weighing system<\/strong>, which came onto the market at the end of the 1970s. The sterility of the production process continues to be an outstanding feature of M.A.R. S.p.A., which continues in the usual tradition of Marchesini Group<\/a> will continue to operate at its current location in order to ensure the continuity of the company and the quality standards of the end product.<\/p>

\u201eM.A.R. S.p.A. has a very valuable customer portfolio. The dowry that we bring to this marriage with a partner of the importance of the Marchesini Group consists both of our customer base and of our typically Lombard know-how, which has proved particularly important during the years of the pandemic, when we were able to meet the great demand for technologies for packaging Covid vaccines and other biological products.\u201c<\/p>

With this acquisition, the Marchesini Group in Lombardy now has eight companies in the Milan area, and Lombardy itself is the second largest production centre after Emilia-Romagna, where the Group's headquarters are located.\u00a0<\/p>

\u201eM.A.R. S.p.A. will maintain its site in Lainate, its organisation and its specialised staff, but with the aim of expanding by hiring more technicians and designers. The offer of filling products for the packaging of powders and liquids, also in sterile environments, is an opportunity to enrich the range of complete lines offered by the Marchesini Group, in particular through Corima, our company specialised in technologies that use robotised solutions to ensure maximum precision in controlled contamination environments. The synergies also extend to Group companies such as CMP Phar.ma for process control and the Lombardy-based companies SEA Vision, Auteco and Dott. Bonapace for the production of vision and data acquisition systems, process automation and laboratory machinery respectively.\u201c<\/p>
