The correct separation and collection of recyclable materials makes an important contribution to resource and climate protection. To mark World Recycling Day on 18 March, the Forum Rezyklat and the \u201eWaste Separation Works\u201c initiative, among others, are calling on consumers to separate waste correctly.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

18 March 2023 marks the fifth anniversary of World Recycling Day. On this day organised by the Global Recycling Foundation<\/a> The aim of the day is to raise awareness of the issue with numerous campaigns worldwide, the central role that recycling plays in resource and climate protection<\/strong>. The Forum Rezyklat, with over 60 members from the packaging value chain, is joining the campaign.<\/p>

As part of its annual information campaign, the alliance wants to sensitise consumers to return their empty packaging to the appropriate recycling collection system with advertising material specially developed for this occasion: Paper to paper, glass to glass and the remaining packaging in the yellow bag or yellow bin.<\/strong> This is because single-variety collection is crucial for successful recycling. This is the only way to recycle the raw materials contained in the packaging.<\/p>

But how do you actually separate waste properly? On World Recycling Day, the Forum's partner companies are providing their customers with concrete and entertaining waste separation tips to help them. They plan Posts on the topic under the motto \u201eLet's make every day World Recycling Day!\u201c.<\/strong> The total of 12 motifs in this purely digital campaign include both specific content for individual retail segments, such as drugstores and full-range retailers, as well as generic statements for all other partners.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Four tips for correct waste separation<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The \u201eWaste separation works\u201c initiative also calls for waste separation, as there can be no recycling without the correct disposal of packaging. A recent YouGov survey shows: For consumers, waste separation is one of the most sensible contributions to climate and resource protection.<\/strong> Compared to other measures, it is most frequently integrated into everyday life. However, incorrectly disposed waste in the yellow bin or yellow bag still makes it difficult to recycle valuable raw materials. Conversely, recyclable materials from packaging incorrectly thrown into residual waste are lost forever.<\/p>

\u201ePackaging recycling can only work if we separate and dispose of all waste correctly. The more and the better, the greater the benefit for the environment. On World Recycling Day, we therefore want to emphasise once again how important it is to separate waste correctly. If you take four separation tips to heart<\/strong>, can make a contribution to protecting the climate and resources every day.\u201c<\/p>

Tip 1:<\/strong> All empty packaging that is not made of paper, cardboard, carton or glass belongs in the yellow bin or yellow bag. This includes, for example, packaging made of plastic, aluminium, tinplate or composite materials such as drinks cartons. Paper, cardboard and carton are collected in the waste paper, empty disposable glass packaging sorted by colour in glass containers.<\/p>

Tip 2<\/strong>: Before packaging is disposed of in the yellow bin\/yellow bag, it must be completely empty. This applies to yoghurt pots as well as detergent bottles. However, rinsing is not necessary.<\/p>

Tip 3:<\/strong> Lids & Co. Separate, then throw both into the yellow bin\/yellow bag. This also applies to sealing and transparent films or plastic wrapping on packaging - if separation is possible.<\/p>

Tip 4:<\/strong> Do not stack yoghurt pots and other packaging on top of each other, flatten drinks cartons etc. and dispose of them in the yellow bin\/yellow bag.
