New small and large packaging machines for food and beverage, pharmaceutical, consumer and industrial packaging have been launched by machine manufacturer and extrusion blow-moulded packaging specialist Bekum. The more than 20 new machine models cover the production of small to large container volumes. <\/strong><\/p>

The from Bekum<\/a> presented for the first time at the last K trade fair, the new 8-series scores with improved energy efficiency and greater flexibility<\/strong>. The presentation of many exclusive technical solutions, the expansion of the digital service and the processing of recycled materials and calcium carbonate (chalk) in the three-layer process are the focus of the trade fair.<\/p>

The company is committed to the circular economy and provides solutions for the cost-effective recycling of unmixed PE or PP plastic waste<\/strong>. The use of tri-extrusion technology and the newly developed simulation-based three-layer heads produces resource-efficient blow-moulded containers. In this three-layer process, the recycled material (PCR) is embedded in the centre recyclate layer between thin-walled inner and outer layers consisting of virgin material.<\/p>

The ecological concern is to achieve the highest possible proportion of the central recyclate layer, taking into account the geometry of the moulded part, in order to reduce the overall consumption of new plastic in the production cycle. The decisive factor here is the guarantee of varietal purity<\/strong>. Only if the inner and outer layers and the recyclate layer are made of the same material can the three-layer products be easily recycled at the end of their service life and returned to the circular economy.<\/p>
