Multivac will be presenting concepts for sealing and labelling fruit and vegetables at interpack. According to the company, top-wrap and top-close labelling saves resources and the fresh produce trays offer various options for product presentation.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Multivac<\/a> now offers two further high-quality and sustainable labelling solutions for fresh produce trays in addition to full-wrap labelling. While the Top-wrap labelling one label applied from above and over both sides of the tray<\/strong> the top-close labelling closes the tray with a label from above. Both concepts are suitable for fresh products that do not need to be packaged in a modified atmosphere or airtight in a vacuum. This allows trays to be labelled easily and in a resource-saving manner. sealed with labels and labelled at the same time<\/strong> - and thus meet the increasing demands of the industry in terms of sustainability.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Both labelling solutions provide incentives to buy thanks to the label and recyclable packaging. The self-adhesive labels on carrier material not only offer Space for customer information and marketing<\/strong> - They also open up a wide range of product presentation options in terms of material thickness and shape. For example, cut-outs or adhesive-free zones are possible to avoid contact with the product. Perforations serve as opening aids and make handling easier for the consumer<\/strong>. In addition, the label can be printed directly on the labeller with a batch number or best-before date, for example, without the need for an additional label. Last but not least, packers benefit from the use of unprinted cardboard trays thanks to flexible and efficient ordering and storage processes.<\/p>

With top-wrap labelling, the label ensures that the contents cannot fall out of the tray or be removed by the customer. In contrast to full-wrap labelling, however, it is not applied to the tray. not completely around the pack<\/strong>, but only up to the two side surfaces. The Saves material<\/strong> and is more efficient with an output of 180 packs per minute.<\/p>

\u201eA combination of cardboard trays and standard self-adhesive labels made of paper or renewable raw materials also results in plastic-free packaging that can be optimally recycled.\u201c<\/p>

Top wrap labelling also includes the Use of polypropylene film labels<\/strong> possible. The PP labels offer the advantage that the product is visible through a transparent window in the upper part of the tray.<\/p>

\u201eDepending on the label material, the plastic content of such an overall pack is less than 10 per cent. The label is also easy to remove so that the consumer can easily separate the materials for different recycling channels.\u201c<\/p>

The label only sticks to the edge of the tray. An adhesive-free zone in the centre of the label ensures that the product does not come into contact with the adhesive. With an output of up to 250 products per minute, top-close labelling is highly efficient.
