Safelog has developed a new rotary lifting unit for its mobile transport robot. This allows the robot to rotate freely, particularly in confined spaces and narrow aisles. The company will be showcasing the new model variant at LogiMAT.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Last year, Safelog presented its new goods-to-person platform for fulfilment centres and production lines for the first time with the AGV X1 1500. Just under a year later, the technology company from Markt Schwaben is presenting its new platform at the LogiMAT<\/a> 2023 introduces a new model variant with the AGV X1 1200 tt. In contrast to the AGV X1 1500, the new model does not have four electric lifting columns in the corners, but rather a central lifting unit<\/strong>. This can lift the goods carriers \/ transported goods up to a lifting height of 80 mm and lift loads up to a top load of 1,200 kg. The mobile transport robot is equipped with a rotating unit that allows the AGV and load to rotate independently of each other<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

With the newly developed rotary lifting unit, the AGV X1 1200 tt can lift the Re-align transported goods even in confined spaces<\/strong>. Previously, such manoeuvres were difficult because the entire robot had to be rotated. The AGV has a total of Three different rotation modes in which the transport robot and rotary unit rotate endlessly independently of each other<\/strong> can. These modes can be selected depending on the situation when integrating the automated guided vehicles into the intralogistics system. This avoids unnecessary turns of the AGV and shortens the process time.<\/p>

Like all Safelog<\/a>-Compared to other AGVs, the AGV X1 1200 tt does not require an expensive control centre for control. The mobile robot from Safelog has an agent-based control system for communication between the AGV and its environment. This enables the efficient operation of a few robots up to fleets of several hundred vehicles. Via the Software enables the individual devices in the swarm to communicate with each other and intelligently coordinate route and task distribution<\/strong>. Decentralised control not only increases efficiency, but also process reliability. In the event of a malfunction, only the affected vehicle breaks down - the rest of the swarm continues to perform its tasks.<\/p>
