As in many other sectors, the packaging and processing industry is still predominantly male-dominated. At interpack, the \u201eWomen in Packaging\u201c event aims to draw attention to the opportunities offered by greater diversity and create a platform for dialogue.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The interpack<\/a> brings together international female industry participants for the trade fair in May. Under the title \u201eWomen in Packaging\u201c, a women's event will be held here for the first time on 8 May. Event explicitly for women in the industry<\/strong> will take place. The programme includes a Panel discussion with top speakers from around the world and the opportunity to network<\/strong>. The event is supported by the WPO<\/a>\u00a0- World Packaging Organisation, which contributes its global network.<\/p>

Like many other sectors, the packaging and processing industry is predominantly male-dominated. Female managers in particular are still rare. At the same time companies benefit from more diversity, new impulses and different perspectives<\/strong>, not least in view of the increasing shortage of skilled labour. \u201eWomen in Packaging\u201c at interpack draws attention to barriers and puts the industry in the spotlight as an attractive place to work.<\/p>

They are internationally successful, pioneers in their field, marketing experts and founders: At the event, visitors can learn from their success stories, benefit from tips and find out about trends and developments in the industry.<\/strong> inform.<\/p>

Valentina Aureli, CEO of the Aetna Group<\/a> in Italy, Dr Afsaneh Nabifar, Group Leader for the global market development of biopolymers at BASF<\/a>, the Australian Nadia Taylor, co-founder and director of the tna solutions<\/a>, Marjo Halonen, Vice President Communications at Mets\u00e4 Board Corporation<\/a> in Finland and Gabi Bauer, Head of Marketing & Communication at Uhlmann Pac- Systems<\/a>. The panel will be moderated by Nerida Kelton, Vice President Sustainability & Save Food at the World Packaging Organisation.<\/p>

The aim of the event is also to, to give more women access to the processing and packaging industry and to attract young talent<\/strong>. As women are underrepresented in technical professions in particular, as well as in management positions, their promotion can play an important role in terms of the shortage of skilled labour. This includes measures such as Mentoring programmes, image promotion for the industry, the creation of equal opportunities and attractive working conditions<\/strong>. The panel discussion at interpack will focus on which points are particularly important.<\/p>
