Machine manufacturer Mewes has the Cobra capping robot in its portfolio for fast format changes and a reduction in format parts. Thanks to its modular design, several robots can be interconnected to process multi-part closures.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Cobra is a 2-position capping machine in which all travel paths such as pack height, cap height, transfer point, screw-on torque and cap position are controlled via Servo axes freely programmable and reproducibly stored<\/strong> can be adjusted. The traverse profiles can also be influenced to ensure precise processing.<\/p>

If required, the The contour of a closure is captured in the transfer via camera or laser scanner and the data is processed by the servo capping spindles<\/strong>. The number of format parts has been reduced to a minimum. These are clearly labelled, tool-free and easy to use. The tightening torque in conjunction with the angle of rotation is electronically controlled by the servo sealing spindles. Incorrectly sealed packs are automatically rejected without the machine stopping.<\/p>

The cap transfer can be carried out with \u201estationary spindle\u201c, which ensures that the closures are picked up precisely.<\/strong> will. Thanks to the modular design, several Cobra machines can be connected in series to process multi-part closures. A Siemens S7 PLC is used as the control system. Profinet for connection to the production data acquisition system is also possible, as is remote maintenance.<\/p>

Cobra closes with an output of approx. 50-60 pieces\/min the gap between the 1-digit capping machines<\/strong> and the performance-orientated rotary capping machines. It is possible to process accumulable packaging materials or transport cup systems. Our disc sorting machine type HP as well as our vibration sorting machine type VG can be used for closure sorting.<\/p>
