Steriline, manufacturer of complete lines for the aseptic processing of injectable drugs, will be exhibiting an assembly system for volumetric pumps, its robot-controlled RVFM5 vial filling machine and a new filling machine with servo platform at interpack. <\/strong>

At the trade fair stand, Steriline will be presenting visitors with a robot-controlled vial filling machine <\/strong>(RVFM5) and two internally developed systems that emphasise the company's commitment to forward-looking research and development activities.<\/p>

\"<\/em>Developments in the pharmaceutical industry are happening very quickly. The pandemic has refocused attention on the healthcare ecosystem, which has also had an impact on public and private investments that will eventually allow companies to renew their production facilities. When that happens, companies need to keep a watchful eye to find solutions that optimise their processes and are flexible for different production cycles.\u201c<\/p>

The RVFM5 was developed to fill vials in large quantities. It is equipped with five filling and stoppering heads, and the vials are moved with a robotic arm,<\/strong> which offers various advantages such as greater flexibility in handling the vials, greater safety in product handling (which protects both the medicine and the personnel) and improved quality of the process as human error and contamination are eliminated.<\/p>

Steriline's investments in research and development are aimed at addressing market needs and optimising packaging processes. The stand will feature a Robot-controlled assembly system for volumetric pumps<\/strong> show how machine downtimes can be reduced when volumetric pumps are replaced with other dosing systems for a new production cycle.<\/p>

Volumetric pumps are set so that they always process a certain dose. And every time this parameter changes, the pumps must be replaced. However, if operations are carried out in a sterile or controlled environment, the operator's contact with the pumps interrupts sterility and contaminates the environment, so the machine must be stopped. The Steriline system now enables the assembly and disassembly of pumps<\/strong> without interrupting sterility<\/strong>, This is because the components are supplied and removed via a Rapid Transfer Port (RTP), whereby the properties of the internal environment are retained while a robotic arm sets up the pumps independently.<\/p>
