Since its foundation in 1948, the German Folding Carton Association FFI has been committed to the interests of the folding carton industry in Germany. The 75th anniversary was celebrated at the Annual General Meeting on 11 and 12 May and a look was taken at the challenges facing the industry.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Today, the FFI<\/a> the interests of two thirds of the companies in the sector, generates expertise for members, ensures enhancing expertise, is committed to promoting innovation and creates networks for the exchange of professional experience<\/strong>. Four members founded the trade association on 12 October 1948, which was transformed into a legally binding association in 1956. In times of the economic miracle with technological change and consumer orientation, the focus increasingly shifted to recruiting junior staff, training skilled workers, market analyses, technical standards and marketing activities.<\/p>

In 1994, the Fachvereinigung der Deutschen-Kartonage-Industrie, which until then had been a parallel folding carton association, and its member companies were incorporated and integrated into the FFI. Environment and sustainability<\/strong> are playing an increasingly important role in the context of changing public awareness. This has led to a new focus on specific product benefits. With over 60 full members, representing a production volume of 943,000 tonnes and a production value of over 2.2 billion euros in 2022, and its partners from the supply chain, the Associate FFI Members, the FFI is optimistic.<\/p>

\u201eCurrent challenges have always led the FFI to further develop its range of services with a focus on its members. We are convinced that the folding carton industry will continue to be successful in the future and will work purposefully on its behalf.\u201c<\/p>
