Sustainability in heating is currently a major topic. Mondi's new PelletBags show that packaging also plays a role in this. The packaging for wood pellets is also made from fibres.<\/strong><\/p>

Mondi's PelletBags are made from two-ply kraft paper, which is produced, printed and processed in-house before being sent to Holz-Bauer for filling and sealing. There it is securely stitched with a static binding machine<\/strong>. With PelletBag, Holz-Bauer will replace its existing plastic solution, which is currently the industry standard for wood pellets.<\/p>

Holz-Bauer wood pellets are made from sawmill waste sourced from local companies. The use of sawmill residues is in line with the principle of cascading use of wood and allows the full value of the fibres to be utilised. This means that wood is first used for high-quality products with hygiene or strength requirements, such as kraft paper, and then successively for recycling<\/strong>, until the residual materials are incinerated at the end of the life cycle to generate green energy.<\/p>

Mondi's kraft paper is made from renewable fibres and, according to the company, the finished paper sack can be disposed of in existing European recycling loops. The bags have a high tear resistance and are easy to store and transport.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
