Organic pioneer Primavera is continuously optimising its packaging with regard to environmental and climate compatibility - whether by dispensing with outer packaging, saving material in glass bottles or using an innovative airless system. <\/b><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Less and less, more and more recyclable and, wherever possible, preferably without any packaging at all: this is Primavera's packaging strategy. Protecting the earth's natural resources and the climate is one of the premises of sustainable action<\/strong> of the aromatherapy and natural cosmetics manufacturer from the Allg\u00e4u region. The company is always on the lookout for new solutions to protect the high-quality organic botanicals and formulas of the preservative-free Primavera products.<\/p>

\u201eNo packaging is the best packaging for the environment and climate. That is our claim, but it is not so easy to realise in practice. Every material has ecological disadvantages as well as advantages. We therefore endeavour to find the best possible packaging solution in line with the latest developments. Our first priority is to eliminate unnecessary outer packaging, followed by minimising existing materials, increasing the recycled content of plastic packaging and improving the recyclability of packaging. For plastics, we are also looking for sensible alternatives\u201c<\/p>

Every new product and every new edition of existing products at Primavera is therefore also associated with innovations in the packaging concept - such as the Organic Skincare facial care product launched in summer 2022: A third of the products here do not require any outer packaging at all.<\/strong> In the entire Primavera range, 84 per cent of products currently have no outer packaging and no leaflet. For small products with a content of less than 30 ml, there is usually not enough space on the primary packaging for information such as product information, barcode or INCI, meaning that secondary packaging is required.<\/p>

Paper from sustainable forestry with mineral oil-free printing inks is used for the folding boxes. At least one third of all tubes in the face care range are made from post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic<\/strong> (cap excluded). The airless facial care container has even won the \u201eGold Award 2021 of the German Packaging Award in the field of sustainability\u201c. It consists of around 80 per cent recycled material (excluding cap). The airless system is also used in the new Organic Skincare body care range, which was launched in March 2023. This range will continue to do without any outer packaging.<\/p>

The classics in the aromatherapy range, the organic plant waters and organic skincare oils that Recently available in a new design<\/strong> have always managed without outer packaging. The 30, 50 and 100 ml glass bottles are fully recyclable, are produced in Germany using electricity from renewable energy sources and are bottles require an average of 16 per cent less glass than their predecessors.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The new 200 ml plastic packaging for the shower balms also contains 31 per cent less material than the previous tubes. In total, 85 per cent of all plastic packaging contains PCR plastics or is made from renewable raw materials<\/strong> (without caps and labels). The tubes can be 100 per cent recycled.<\/p>

Primavera is working on this together with various partners, to bring all packaging into closed loops in the long term<\/strong>. In February 2023, Primavera was honoured for its commitment to sustainability for the fifth time in a row with the Green Brands<\/a>-seal of quality. The label is awarded to companies and products that make a significant contribution to protecting the environment, nature and the climate and therefore deserve a high level of national and international recognition.<\/p>
