With the launch of its new RePETable offering, Sidel aims to provide the packaging industry with an efficient transition to rPET bottle production while improving the recyclability of primary packaging.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

With RePETable, Sidel aims to facilitate a smooth and efficient transition of the market to recycled PET. The service solutions are designed to enable customers to, use up to 100 per cent rPET<\/strong>, without compromising bottle production. The offering includes a range of services that extend the benefits of virgin PET to rPET and Consistent production output and bottle quality<\/strong> is to be achieved. As a supplement to the packaging optimisation services, the offer is intended to enable customers to make a cost-efficient transition to recycled PET.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

\u201eTo achieve the same level of performance as virgin PET, the production process for rPET bottles must be adapted to the resin used. Our RePETable range therefore includes solutions associated with the production of rPET bottles: Ensuring the mechanical strength of the bottle while optimising the stretchability of the material and shaping the bottle.\u201c\u00a0<\/p>

The new offering provides rPET-ready capabilities with packaging services, equipment upgrades and process support for consistently high production output and bottle quality - even when using up to 100 per cent rPET. The blow moulding process has also been optimised to overcome the challenges associated with different rPET grades. Non-specification-compliant rPET is identified and rejected before processing.<\/strong><\/p>

Sidel<\/a> has invested in a small-scale recycling pilot plant in France. Every step of the recycling process can be simulated in this plant<\/strong>, from washing, drying and extruding the pellets to crystallisation and solid-state polymerisation, including special process and laboratory controls. Sidel's experts examine all aspects of the process, from post-consumer PET bales to the blow moulding of rPET bottles.\u00a0<\/p>

While the demand for rPET continues to rise due to global regulations and brands' commitment to more recyclable packaging, the costs fluctuate and generally remain higher than those for virgin PET. Sidels wants to contribute to this with its services, significantly reduce the cost of rPET resin<\/strong> and even achieve savings with rapid amortisation.<\/p>
