Berry Global has developed a range of bottles made entirely from recycled plastic (PCR) for Bio-D, the British manufacturer of environmentally friendly cleaning products.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The range includes 750ml, 1-litre and 5-litre bottles for a range of Bio-D liquid products<\/strong>including laundry detergents, fabric softeners, dishwashing detergents, dishwasher detergents and cleaning products for home and garden.<\/p>

Bio-D specialises in the production of environmentally friendly cleaning products that do not harm people or the environment. This commitment also extends to the company's packaging, and Bio-D was looking for bottles made from 100 per cent PCR for several of its liquid products. At the same time, the bottles needed to offer a high level of performance, especially in terms of in terms of their durability and longevity.<\/strong>\u00a0 The design should facilitate reuse in particular, as they can be refilled several times in over 300 refill shops throughout the country<\/strong>. And at the end of their service life, the bottles should be recyclable.<\/p>

The bottles developed by Berry Global are now made of 100 per cent PCR-HDPE and feature an embossed Bio-D logo, to ensure the presence of the brand throughout the life of the bottle<\/strong>. The design of the 1-litre detergent and fabric softener bottles also has a handle for safe carrying and controlled pouring.<\/p>

\"We have been using recycled material in our containers for many years, but the requirements for the Bio-D bottle presented us with additional challenges that required new material technologies and processing requirements as well as an extensive new test procedure.\"<\/p>

As part of the development process, Berry BMS was able to draw on the processing expertise of Berry's specialised recycling company Berry Circular Polymers<\/strong> to fall back on. In addition, the closure for the bottle is manufactured by Berry Norwich, so that organic D a complete solution for bottle and cap from a single source<\/strong>.<\/p>
