Aquapak Polymers has appointed Dudley Jones as Sales Director. The flexible packaging expert is to drive forward the end applications of the polymer Hydropol. The polymer is characterised by its high functionality and good recycling properties.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Dudley has over thirty years of flexible packaging experience in manufacturing, engineering, sales and marketing with leading global packaging companies such as Sonoco, Walki, Constantia Flexibles and Amcor, working with major FMCG multinationals and regional key accounts.<\/p>

\u201eDudley joins Aquapak at a time when there is huge demand for new packaging that is both environmentally friendly and functional. There are many market segments where Hydropol can offer end customers a solution that doesn't exist today and help them improve their environmental footprint without compromising product quality or the end consumer experience.\u201c<\/p>

For extrusion coating or lamination on paper, Hydropol provides additional strength and barriers against oxygen, oil and grease, and its solubility enables 100 per cent recovery<\/strong> of the paper fibres through paper recycling plants. Not only is it biodegradable and compostable, it is also non-toxic to the environment and ocean safe, so it can be disposed of safely even if it is not disposed of as intended. It is already used in products such as reusable, heat-sealable paper mailing bags.<\/p>
