The Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) is committed to the global reduction of CO2<\/sub>-emissions. Since July 2023, the STI Group has been a member of the initiative, which was founded by the Carbon Disclosure Project, UN Global Compact, World Resources Institute and the World Wildlife Fund for Nature.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\u201eBy joining the SBT initiative, we are committing to the sustainable transformation of our entire business activities in order to reduce our CO2 emissions in a transparent and measurable way and in line with the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement. This makes us one of the first medium-sized companies in the packaging industry to lead the way when it comes to climate protection and enables us to effectively support our customers in achieving their climate protection goals.\u201c<\/p>

More than 5,000 companies worldwide are currently members of the SBTi. The initiative shows which quantities CO2<\/sub> Saving companies<\/strong> to limit global warming to well below 2 \u00b0C compared to the pre-industrial age with a target of 1.5 \u00b0C in line with the Paris Agreement. To achieve this, the Greenhouse gas emissions halved by 2030<\/strong> and fall to zero by 2050 (net zero 2050).<\/p>

The fact that the company is on the right track with its commitment to sustainability is confirmed by the independent evaluation platform EcoVadis<\/a>: In July 2023, the STI Group will once again Silver for the corporate social responsibility measures<\/strong> of the entire group of companies. With a silver rating, the STI Group is among the top 25 per cent of all companies assessed by EcoVadis in 2023.<\/p>
