As part of its expansion into the North American market, Billerud is now introducing its portfolio of coated kraftliners. This launch is intended to provide packaging manufacturers and brand owners with improvements in terms of sustainability and cost efficiency.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

\u201eStrong liners with excellent printing properties don't have to be thick and heavy. With 100 per cent virgin fibres and a multi-layer structure, the coated liners from Billerud are so strong that they are<\/strong>, This means that packaging manufacturers can use a lower base weight, which means better packaging performance and runnability at a lower cost. This improves resource efficiency and reduces the carbon footprint throughout the value chain,\u201c says Rolf Gustafsson, Senior Director Product Management Containerboard at Billerud.<\/p>

The Pure Coated Liner portfolio consists of two top kraftliners: the double-coated white Pure Supreme<\/strong> for litho-laminated packaging (suitable for high-quality prints and effects such as varnish, foil and embossing) and the lightly coated white Top-Kraftliner Pure Decor<\/strong> with a smooth surface that is suitable for high-quality flexo and digital printing applications before and after printing.<\/p>
