With its Paperdent range, the Cologne-based retail company Luoro has set itself the goal of eliminating plastic waste from dental care as far as possible with the help of sustainable dental care products.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The background: Plastic is still used for oral and dental care in particular. the most commonly used material for products and packaging<\/strong>. This applies in particular to dental products, which are used up quickly as everyday consumer goods. There is therefore considerable potential for reducing waste in this area.<\/p>

\u201eWe are convinced that sustainable solutions will only be accepted by society at large if they are also user-friendly and their added value is immediately recognisable. Thanks to our cardboard packaging, it is easy to see how much plastic is saved compared to conventional mouthwash bottles - in our case, more than 80 per cent.\u201c<\/p>

Mouthwashes are usually sold in hard plastic containers. Paperdent now uses hard plastic for its \u201eMild Herbs\u201c mouthwash. on Elopak packaging specially developed for non-food products<\/strong>. The newly developed packaging solution consists largely of FSC-certified wood, a natural and renewable raw material. The carton saves more than 80 per cent plastic compared to the usual plastic bottle and is over 90 per cent recyclable. <\/p>

The packaging also has another environmentally friendly advantage: thanks to its space-saving design, larger product quantities can be transported per transport route<\/strong>, which leads to a reduction in CO2 emissions. <\/p>
