Neste RE is a raw material for plastics production that is made from 100 per cent bio-based raw materials such as waste and residues, e.g. used cooking oil, and replaces fossil raw materials in the value chain. The Japanese beverage manufacturer <strong>Suntory will use the renewable PET resin to manufacture bottles for its products in 2024<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p><p>As a new partner of Neste in Japan, Eneos <strong>use bio-based intermediates produced with Neste RE<\/strong>, to produce bio-paraxylene (Bio-PX) at its refinery in Okyama, Japan. The Bio-PX will then be processed into PTA (purified terephthalic acid) and then into PET resin, which Suntory will use in the production of its PET bottles.
