The Mondi Group has joined the WWF's \u201eClimate Savers\u201c initiative. The initiative is part of the WWF's \u201eClimate Leadership\u201c programme, which is aimed at companies. The packaging and paper company has committed to reducing its production-related greenhouse gas emissions to 0.25 tonnes of CO2 equivalents per tonne produced by 2050.<\/p>\n

With the step that has now been initiated, Mondi is expanding the Cooperation with the WWF<\/strong> out. The company, which employs more than 26,000 people in over 30 countries, is committed to further reducing its carbon footprint. Greenhouse gas emissions<\/strong> along its entire value chain. It also encourages other companies and decision-makers to commit to climate protection.<\/p>\n

According to a company press release, Mondi CEO Peter Oswald is committed to the climate policy responsibility<\/strong> of its group. Mondi has already reduced its CO2 emissions by 38 per cent since 2004. Mondi's \u201eClimate Savers\u201c commitment has initially been agreed until 2020.<\/p>
