The new training year has started at printing press manufacturer Koenig & Bauer. Compared to the previous year, the company has almost doubled the number of apprenticeships and internships for dual study programmes. All advertised positions have been filled.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

168 young people are taking part these days Koenig & Bauer<\/a> the first steps in their professional lives. At the beginning of the new training year, they start at the Group locations in Germany and Austria with an industrial-technical or commercial vocational qualification<\/strong>. Despite the tense situation on the labour market and a significant increase in the number of trainees, all vacancies in the Group were filled.<\/p>

\u201cA strong commitment to in-company training is not only part of our corporate responsibility, it is also an investment in our own future,\u201d says Dr Andreas Ple\u00dfke, CEO of Koenig & Bauer. Compared to previous years, the printing press manufacturer has increased its Training places and practical placements for dual study programmes almost doubled<\/strong>. The associated investments in buildings and additional personnel emphasise the Group's long-term commitment to strengthening dual vocational training.<\/p>

However, the tense situation on the labour market is also becoming increasingly noticeable at Koenig & Bauer. \u201cIn a challenging environment, we have nevertheless once again succeeded in filling all training places,\u201d explains HR manager Dr Christine B\u00f6tsch. \u201cThis success is impressive proof of the quality, attractiveness and reliability of training at Koenig & Bauer.\u201d For many years now, the printing press manufacturer has been giving its apprentices A guarantee of permanent employment at the start of the training programme<\/strong>.<\/p>

On 1 September, 66 young people started their vocational training at the headquarters in W\u00fcrzburg. On 21 August, 55 young people began their training in Radebeul near Dresden. The remaining trainees are employed at the Group's German sites in Veitsh\u00f6chheim, Frankenthal, Stuttgart and L\u00f6hne, as well as in M\u00f6dling in Austria. Dual students will also be joining them from the autumn. The training programmes offered Job profiles were further diversified and adapted to the requirements of a technology group<\/strong>. The largest occupational groups are mechatronics technicians, industrial mechanics and IT specialists.<\/p>

By working in different departments, the trainees gain a deep insight into the company's processes. Additional programmes such as exchange trips, seminars or stays abroad<\/strong> promote the personal development of young people in addition to their professional skills. Traditionally Koenig & Bauer closely associated with the dual vocational training model<\/strong>. For over 150 years, the company has maintained its own vocational school at its headquarters in W\u00fcrzburg, which is now a state-recognised public school and is also attended in part by trainees from other companies in the region. Apprentices from Koenig & Bauer regularly achieve top positions in the Chamber of Industry and Commerce final examinations at the various Group locations.<\/p>
