Demand was particularly high in the deodorant and hair care markets, which both increased by around 8 per cent.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-22db94a exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"22db94a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The market growth is primarily due to <strong>Lively demand from the deodorants, hairspray and hair mousse segments, which dominate in terms of volume<\/strong> which each increased by around 8 per cent compared to the same period last year. There was also a positive trend in the <strong>Demand from the pharmaceutical sector, which grew by just under 5 per cent<\/strong>. Deliveries to the shaving foam market were satisfactory, with a mid-double-digit increase. In contrast, demand from the less significant food and household products segments fell by 2.5 and 12.5 per cent respectively.<\/p><p>Market growth was driven in particular by the <strong>Deliveries to the 27 EU member states including the UK and to South and North America<\/strong> which rose by a good 11 and 6 per cent respectively. The demand for aluminium cans with the highest possible proportion of post-consumer recycled material is correspondingly lively. However, the global availability of high-quality aluminium scrap, which is required for the technically demanding production of aluminium aerosol cans, is limited. Another key task is to find a <strong>Consistent design for recycling<\/strong>, to ensure that aluminium aerosol cans are successfully and safely returned to the material cycle with a minimum of material usage and packaging complexity.<\/p><blockquote><p>\u201eThe manufacturers of aluminium aerosol cans are facing up to this challenge and are continuously working with partners in the supply chain to develop innovative and even more sustainable can concepts.\u201c<\/p><p><strong>Gregor Spengler<\/strong>, Aerobal Secretary General<\/p><\/blockquote><p>The weakening global economy, persistently high inflation and the shortage of labour are dampening the mood in the aluminium aerosol can industry, even though demand for aerosol cans is currently still satisfactory.<\/p><blockquote><p>\u201eStubborn inflation in particular is causing uncertainty among both our member companies and consumers. Companies are faced with higher interest rates and investment costs, and consumers are suffering from a further loss of purchasing power. It remains to be seen whether these developments will have a full impact on the aerosol can industry. We hope that the level of investment in our industry will remain high in order to further increase competitiveness. In addition, demand for fast-moving consumer goods such as aerosol cans has largely been able to decouple itself from negative economic cycles in the past.
