There has been a change at the top of Stora Enso. Hans Sohlstr\u00f6m is the new CEO and President of the company and is leaving the Board of Directors. He brings with him experience in the fields of forestry and renewable materials.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The Board of Directors of Stora Enso<\/a> Oyj has appointed Hans Sohlstr\u00f6m (58), M.Sc. (tech.) and M.Sc. (econ.), with effect from 18 September. new President and CEO of Stora Enso<\/strong> appointed. Hans Sohlstr\u00f6m is currently a member of the company's Board of Directors and is now stepping down from this position. The Board of Directors will now consist of eight members.<\/p>

\u201eHans Sohlstr\u00f6m has demonstrated great business acumen and leadership qualities in his previous positions. He has extensive experience in the forest industry and has gained a good insight into the company through his more than two years of service on Stora Enso's Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is confident that Hans Sohlstr\u00f6m is the right person to lead Stora Enso through the current challenging market environment and achieve its long-term financial targets.\u201c<\/p>

Hans Sohlstr\u00f6m has more than 30 years of experience in corporate management, of which more than 10 years as CEO, mainly in the fields of forestry and renewable materials<\/strong>. Most recently, he managed Ahlstrom Corporation, Ahlstr\u00f6m Capital and Rettig Group. Prior to that, he held various management positions at UPM-Kymmene Corporation for over 20 years, including Mill Director, Business Unit Vice President and as a member of the Group Executive Team with responsibility for Marketing, New Businesses and Biofuels as well as Corporate Relations and Development.<\/p>
