At this year's CPHI in Barcelona, Gerresheimer is presenting a new product line of glass injection vials. The solution focusses on patient safety, product efficiency, quality and breakage resistance.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The highly developed primary packaging solution is particularly suitable for demanding medicines such as biopharmaceuticals and cytostatics. With the optional Velocity coating can significantly increase the process speed on filling lines.<\/strong> while the vials are reliably protected against scratches. Gx Elite vials can also be supplied \u201eready-to-fill\u201c, i.e. pre-sterilised, for example in the innovative and sustainable EZ-fill Smart packaging. Gerresheimer<\/a> will be showcasing these and other solutions at CPHI 2023 in Barcelona from 24-26 October in Hall 2, Stand 50.<\/p>

\u201eThe trend towards sophisticated and innovative medicines, such as biopharmaceuticals and cytostatics, but also novel vaccines, is placing new demands on the quality and performance of the primary packaging solutions used. At the same time, these new solutions are changing the division of labour between the pharmaceutical industry and packaging manufacturers.\u201c<\/p>

The Gx Elite vials can optionally be provided with the Velocity outer coating developed by Corning. This coating reduces frictional resistance and enables a more efficient filling process: Downtimes on the filling lines are significantly reduced<\/strong>. The high surface quality of the Gx Elite vials is guaranteed by Velocity Protected from possible damage during the filling process<\/strong>. Both lead to significantly increased throughput on the production lines and more efficient operation of the systems.<\/p>

The Gx Elite vials are also available in the new, optimised EZ-fill Smart packaging. The innovative RTF packaging platform Simplifies the filling process, leads to lower costs and reduces particle pollution<\/strong> by over 90 per cent by replacing the Tyvek sealing film with a polymer sealing film. When this film is removed immediately before the filling process, no Tyvek fibres or adhesive particles are produced. The This significantly reduces the risk of such particle contamination<\/strong>. At the same time, EZ-fill Smart packaging reduces the ecological footprint by using biopolymers, reusable materials and a resource-saving sterilisation process (VHP), for example.<\/p>
