To reduce the use of materials and CO2<\/sub>- footprint, Ultrapolymers is expanding its range of polyolefins with an expanded PP grade. Molpen Ep490H was developed by LyondellBasell as a special base grade for foamed applications.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The main applications of Moplen EP490H are extruded foamed films, profiles and sheets, thermoforming and extrusion blow moulding<\/strong>, for rigid packaging for food and consumer goods, for example. The material combines higher foamability than any conventional polypropylene with good stiffness, high impact strength at room and low temperatures, good dimensional stability<\/strong> as well as good resistance to creep and good recovery behaviour.<\/p>

With its good thermoforming properties, Moplen EP490H offers the packaging industry extended possibilities for Development of lightweight, material-saving and therefore environmentally friendly monomaterial solutions<\/strong>. Thanks to its good thermal insulation and temperature resistance as well as its high resistance to water and chemicals, containers for hot meals and drinks are also possible applications. The fine and evenly distributed cell structure results in a considerably smoother surface with significantly better aesthetics than when using conventional polypropylene.
