From now on, Giko Verpackungen GmbH with sites in Austria and Switzerland will be part of the Rattpack Group.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a result of the takeover, the group of companies now has an annual turnover of around 150 million euros, according to its own figures. Rattpack sees this as a strategic decision that will strengthen the Group's position and open up new prospects for both Rattpack and Giko.<\/p>\n<p>The two Giko Verpackungen sites in Weiler in Vorarlberg and Diepoldsau in Switzerland, just a few kilometres away, will therefore remain in place and \u201cwill continue to operate unchanged\u201d, ensuring continuity for customers and employees, according to a press release. Giko is active in the flexible packaging sector. The takeover broadens Rattpack's range of packaging solutions. The range extends from proven standard products to \u201einnovative, customised solutions\u201c, according to the company.<\/p>\n<p>With around 500 employees, Rattpack generated sales of around 125 million euros in 2022. Locations are Vienna, Dornbirn and Wolfurt in Austria as well as Apolda and Buch in Germany. Giko Verpackungen generated sales of around EUR 25 million in 2022 with around 85 employees.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Austrian-German packaging company Rattpack has acquired another company.
