Interzero analyses the recyclability of its customers' products and packaging through its subsidiary Interzero Plastics Innovations. Interzero Plastics Innovations has now received approval for the recyclability assessment of PP and PE rigid fractions according to the standardised protocol and methodology of RecyClass.<\/span> <\/span><\/strong><\/p>

The Cross-industry RecyClass initiative<\/strong> aims to improve the recyclability of plastic packaging and at the same time promote the traceability of plastic waste and recycled plastic in Europe. For example, it has developed the free RecyClass online tool, which assesses and displays the recyclability of plastic packaging, the extent to which they are suitable for recycling<\/strong>.<\/p>

\u201eThe recyclability of packaging technologies is determined by the compatibility of the various components and their behaviour in certain sorting and recycling streams. To support companies in assessing the recyclability of these technologies, RecyClass has developed a range of test methods. We are delighted to have gained another well-known application partner in Interzero.\u201c<\/p>

As the only recognised research institution in the EU specialising in the development and analysis of recycled plastics, Interzero Plastics Innovations has held international accreditation in accordance with the EN\/ISO 17025 laboratory standard since March 2020.<\/strong> Materials are tested in accordance with international standards and internal methodology. The technical assessments of existing and newly developed plastics are prepared in accordance with the EU chemicals regulation REACH and the EU directives.<\/p>
