The sustainable material has the same positive performance characteristics as conventional materials and is suitable for the circular economy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eOur new composite material, BarrierPack Recyclable, is a major step forward in the field of sustainable packaging,\u201c says <strong>Carl Stonley<\/strong>, technical customer advisor at Mondi Consumer Goods Packaging. \u201eNot only is it fully recyclable, but it also offers exceptional mechanical properties and is ideal for <strong>Various packaging formats<\/strong>. BarrierPack Recyclable consists of two layers of PE film, making it a highly functional, flexible packaging material that is easy to open and reseal - to the delight of end consumers. The material is stiffer, more stable and lighter than conventional PET\/PE composite films of the same thickness. At the same time, it raises the question of what sustainable consumption can look like. As a fully recyclable material, BarrierPack Recyclable meets the market demand for <strong>Sustainable alternatives to flexible laminates<\/strong>. According to the company, this was confirmed by extensive tests carried out by CeDo Recycling, a leading company for recycling technologies from the Netherlands.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ton Emans<\/strong>, Managing Director at CeDo Recycling and President of the Association <strong>Plastics Recyclers Europe<\/strong>, explains: \u201eIn January 2018, the European Commission presented a strategy to ensure that all plastic packaging is recyclable by 2030.
