At the start of the new year, Forum Getr\u00e4nkedose (FGD) welcomes Felix Brandenburg as its new Managing Director. The Governmental Affairs Manager at the Ardagh Group replaces Claudia Bierth, European Public Affairs & Sustainability Manager at Ball.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The role of spokesperson rotates between the representatives of the member companies. Brandenburg, whose career is deeply rooted in the governmental affairs sector, impresses with his comprehensive knowledge of the industry. Knowledge in the areas of European trade policy and public affairs<\/strong>. In his position as Governmental Affairs Manager at the Ardagh Group, he is also Chairman of the \u201eBeverage Can\u201c working group at Aluminium Germany. Previously, he worked as a sugar trader at the renowned August T\u00f6pfer Zuckerhandelsgesellschaft and as Managing Director at ASSUC - The European Association of Sugar Traders, where he gained valuable management experience. As a trainee at the European Commission, DG TRADE, Brandenburg acquired extensive expertise in European economic and trade policy.<\/p>\n

Our industry is facing exciting challenges and opportunities where sustainability, innovation and consumer interests are at the centre of our actions. Together with our members, partners and the team, my goal is to promote dialogue and further establish beverage packaging with the highest recycling rate in Germany as a modern and resource-saving packaging solution in the sense of the circular economy.\u201c<\/p>\n

The Beverage Can Forum is the voice of the beverage can industry in Germany and represents the packaging manufacturers Ardagh Group, Ball Beverage Packaging Europe and Crown Holdings. The aim of the forum is to educate, promote and communicate support for the beverage can as a sustainable packaging solution.<\/p>
