The STI Group is expanding its range of services for the food industry with two further hygiene certifications. With the FSSC 22000 standard at the Lauterbach packaging site and EN 15593:2008 for the new folding carton plant in Rumburk, Czech Republic, the Group is continuing to focus on the area of food packaging.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The packaging manufacturer had already successfully completed an FSSC 22000 certification audit at its headquarters in Lauterbach in November 2023. This was followed shortly afterwards by certification for the Czech plant in accordance with EN 15593:2008 hygiene management in the production of food packaging. This means that, in addition to the production facilities in Alsfeld and Kecskem\u00e9t in Hungary, the STI Group can now offer produce packaging for food and direct food contact at two other locations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201eWith the additional hygiene certifications, we are sharpening our profile as a manufacturer of folding cartons and corrugated board packaging in the food sector. We have certified the majority of our sites according to international hygiene standards in order to be able to meet the growing demand for sustainable food packaging even better and more efficiently in the future. Due to this growing demand for sustainable packaging solutions and changes in the regulatory framework, we are focussing on innovations in the area of recyclable barriers and lightweight materials.\u201c<\/p>\n

Quality, hygiene and safety play a central role in food packaging, especially for packaging with direct food contact. This food-safe packaging are possible in combination with a coating<\/strong> Depending on the application, they are grease and moisture repellent and can therefore be used for baked goods, confectionery or fruit and vegetables.<\/p>
