There will be a keynote speech on the Main Stage Responsibility by Sandrine Dixson-Decl\u00e8ve to open the trade fair on Tuesday morning. With its main theme of \u201aResponsibility\u2018, the international information and business platform from 19 to 22 March in Cologne will focus on the numerous energy- and resource-efficient solutions and measures - across the entire value chain.<\/p>\n<p>The industry get-together fulfils the global food industry's desire for greater commitment to environmental issues and resource conservation. The companies work together with their suppliers on concepts and strategies for the responsible use of resources. Switch to ern<strong>Renewable energies, reduction of energy demand<\/strong>, The reduction of carbon emissions, for example through improved process management and systems with higher efficiency levels, reduced energy losses and the reduction of quality-related or process-related waste of raw materials and food, are just some of the topics at the top of the industry's agenda. Climate-neutral production is also closely linked to a comprehensive <strong>improved recycling and packaging system and the switch to more resource-efficient alternative protein sources<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The latest successes on the road to \u201egreen zero\u201c will also be visible on the Main Stage Responsibility in the Cologne exhibition halls. As part of the congress and event programme organised by the DLG (German Agricultural Society), the industry's most important issues will be discussed, innovations presented and numerous networking opportunities offered on all four days of the trade fair. Following on from these interactive events, the International FoodTec Award, which has been initiated by the DLG and its partners since 1994, will offer a further highlight on 19 March. <strong>Outstanding innovations, sustainability and efficiency improvements in food technology<\/strong>. An international jury consisting of experts from research, teaching and practice selects the most innovative concepts for the award.
