There is a lot to consider when processing and packaging pet food. At Interzoo 2024, Handtmann will be presenting modular production systems for the manufacture of different types of pet food. The entire process is covered, from processing to packaging.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the product preparation segment Handtmann<\/a> with the I225-iT ultra-fine shredding and emulsifying technology for medium-sized and industrial companies. A homogeneous product quality is achieved for a wide range of products<\/strong> such as chunks in gravy, snack sticks, wet food and other products. The 1 to 5-stage cutting system reliably shreds products of any viscosity and temperature. It offers optimum adaptation to the respective product, optimising the degree of fineness while increasing productivity at the same time. The combination of the original Handtmann cutting sets and the variable process speed results in a perfectly harmonised size reduction technology with excellent results.<\/p>\n

For the production of pet food sticks directly on the grid, visitors can look forward to the FS 510 multi-lane moulding system with a vacuum filler<\/strong> The VF 800 allows flexible moulding of a wide range of meat and fish-based product masses or insect protein: cubes, bars, pellets, hearts and more. Production can take place on up to 24 lanes simultaneously. The filling flow divider ensures a constant product flow and therefore the most precise final weights of the individual sticks. The Products are separated directly at the outlet<\/strong> optionally with wire or knife, uninterrupted linear with the product speed directly onto the grid.<\/p>

Another exhibit for the simultaneous serial Cutting and dosing of fresh meat directly into a thermoforming packaging machine<\/strong> is the SV 424 2-lane cutting valve with DS 552 dosing system and vacuum filler. With this solution, chunky products can be vertically dosed directly into moulds, trays or thermoforming machines without pre-batching. Portion sizes are possible from 200 grams, the cutting and outlet diameter is 60 mm. The cutting valve is available with flexible lane spacing in 1, 2, 3, 4 or 2 x 2 lane versions. It is mobile, height-adjustable and can be positioned flexibly above the table, conveyor belt or thermoforming packaging machine. It is also available in safety-compliant design without protective cover<\/strong> and there are no additional costs for security precautions.<\/p>\n

The IG5-iT tying machine is available for sausage products in natural, collagen and artificial casings. Sausages in the calibre range from 28 - 80 mm are tied reliably and accurately by weight at high output with freely definable distances, with or without loops. Direct separation of the products after the tying process is possible as an option. Thus a Secure fastening without the use of metal clips<\/strong> possible.<\/p>
