He was appointed to the Management Board in 2016 and was responsible for the plastics recycling business unit until 2023.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dr Markus Helftewes, Managing Director of Der Gr\u00fcne Punkt - Duales System Deutschland GmbH (DSD), is leaving the company on 1 May 2024 by mutual agreement to take on new professional challenges. Dr Helftewes has been working for the <a href=\"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/?s=gr%C3%BCner+punkt\">Green dot<\/a> and was appointed to the Management Board in 2016. Until 2023 he has the <strong>Plastics recycling business unit<\/strong> and made decisive progress in this area.<\/p>\n<p>Most recently, Dr Helftewes has <strong>Construction of the new sorting plant for lightweight packaging (LVP) in Enns, Austria<\/strong> and was technically responsible for the design of innovative processing plants for chemical recycling.
