Building on its long-standing partnership with Sappi, Xeikon produces paper-based candy packaging that is fully recyclable in the paper waste stream. The packaging produced with Xeikon Titon toner technology and Sappi Seal Silk paper is also food safe.<\/strong><\/p>\n

With high image quality, vibrant colours and a silky finish, Maoam Chew Fruit Mix packaging showcases Xeikon's Titon dry toner technology printed on heat-sealable Sappi Seal Silk 67 g\/m2 functional paper. The flexible packaging solution is food-safe, without the need for additional barriers in the structure, such as a varnish or other coatings.<\/strong> are.<\/p>\n

The TX500 digital printing press from Xeikon is in live operation at drupa 2024<\/strong> in D\u00fcsseldorf and demonstrates how confectionery packaging is printed in four colours, with a resolution of 1200 dpi and a speed of 30 m\/min. The 508 mm (20 inch) wide press is the first to utilise Titon dry toner technology. The Toners are resistant to heat, chemicals and abrasion<\/strong> and enable printers to produce sustainable, paper-based food packaging without the need for a coating or other protective layers.<\/p>\n
