Mondi will be showcasing its latest sustainable packaging and paper solutions at drupa at Touchpoint Packaging. The premium papers are particularly suitable for luxury packaging applications and for personalisation, for example by laser engraving.<\/strong><\/p>\n

At two of the five theme islands at Touchpoint Packaging, Mondi will be focusing on various Sustainability topics such as deinkability, recyclability and cradle-to-cradle certification<\/strong> and trends in consumer behaviour. The presentation of prototypes for luxury perfume packaging from a collaboration with Milan's NABA University and presentations on finishing options and sustainability efforts in the paper sector round off Mondi's trade fair presence.<\/p>\n

Choosing the right paper is an important part of any creative print and packaging project. Mondi's premium design paper brand Pergraphica opens up a wide range of possibilities for luxury packaging. The wide range of colours available across Three different shades of white with a rough or smooth surface texture, from Infinite Black to 31 characteristic colours<\/strong> is enough.<\/p>

Another uncoated paper with high tear resistance is IQ Grass+ Packaging, which is made from FSC-certified pulp and up to 30 per cent grass fibres. Small visible grass fibres<\/strong> give IQ Grass+ Packaging its distinctive, characteristic and natural appearance. As an uncoated virgin fibre premium paper, IQ Board is optimised for smooth printing, filling and converting processes and is ideal for eye-catching packaging design. With their natural texture, all papers offer the intensive haptic impression required for premium packaging.<\/p>\n

Extensive portfolio of sustainable securities<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Mondi produces its premium papers in Austria using wood from sustainable forestry. All issued papers fulfil the strict international requirements of Cradle to Cradle Certified, the EU Ecolabel and FSC<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Another highlight presented by Mondi the first results of the collaboration with the Milan University NABA<\/strong> (Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti). As part of a joint luxury packaging project, students worked with Pergraphica to create various designs for the packaging of a perfume bottle. Mondi will also be providing an insight into laser engraving and showing packaging samples made of paper that have been cut and finished using a special laser.<\/p>\n
