Ifco now offers a reusable fish crate for transporting fish and seafood. The reusable packaging was developed together with the fish industry and is precisely tailored to its requirements. The fish crate is also digitally networked.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Marina was developed in close co-operation with the fishing industry and brings greater Protection, greater efficiency and sustainability in the supply chain<\/strong> for fresh fish and seafood. The Fischsteige Marina is equipped with \u201aBluetooth Low Energy\u2018 tags for shipment tracking and QR codes. This enables the collection of Real-time data and improves cold chain management<\/strong> of fresh and chilled products throughout the entire fish and seafood supply chain, from the fishing boat to all points of sale.<\/p>\n

Stricter regulations for EPS<\/h2>\n

Disposable boxes made from expanded polystyrene (EPS) can break down into microplastics, contaminate the marine food chain and harm human health. This is why governments around the world are increasingly tightening their regulations and imposing EPS bans. Many manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers in the fishing industry are therefore striving to eliminate polystyrene crates and the Switch to sustainable packaging<\/strong> on.
