The Schubert experts will also be demonstrating how the sustainable potential of the interaction between packaging and machine technology can be utilised.

One of the company's key objectives is to support consumer goods manufacturers on their path to a sustainable future. This is why Schubert is constantly developing its modular machine technology. On the one hand, to improve energy efficiency in machine operation, and on the other hand, to minimise energy consumption through the design of the system.efficient utilisation of all technical components and to get the best possible performance from the leanest possible solution.

This can be seen live on the „Power Compact“ system on show at the Schubert stand. The bar packer with a single-lane erector and a Comfort Feeder that feeds the blanks directly from the pallet offers manufacturers a particularly advantageous, lean machine concept: a very compact and therefore space-saving system, Erecting, filling and closing at 60 cycles per minute, The system features a small number of system components whose performance can be fully utilised thanks to the single-lane processing of the cartons, lightweight robot tools, some of which are 3D-printed, and a blank feed system that enables continuous operation for up to five hours without refilling.

In addition, the efficient erecting process can be flexibly can also be integrated into other Schubert systems. This concept not only saves on materials and resources, but also enables customers to achieve high packaging performance with high-quality technology and cost-effective operation at the same time.

However, Schubert customers can improve their ecological footprint even further with such a machine solution: Packaging in fully recyclable cardboard boxes often replaces conventional variants with plastic film or plastic labels. At the same time, the cartons produced by the Comfort Feeder The blanks fed in are optimised in advance for the greatest possible recycling of the packaging material. This is because the precise, robot-assisted filling in the top-loading process is particularly suitable for placing products precisely into narrow cartons and saving packaging volume - incidentally one of the requirements of the new PPWR.

Dotlock is a technology developed by Schubert to join packaging made of solid or corrugated cardboard completely glue-free, but with the same strength as glued packaging.
