At Fachpack, Bericap will be showcasing sustainable closures for the industrial, food and beverage sectors that are both safe and consumer-friendly. The manufacturer of plastic and aluminium closures will be presenting its portfolio ranging from the new lightweight closures for the agricultural sector to the Sport Caps in mono-material design and the tamper-proof Ring Peel Liner.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

In product development, Bericap focusses on a conscious and reduced use of materials. The \u201eLightweight\u201c range for the agricultural sector has been expanded and now also offers special lightweights for the 50 and 63 mm muzzle sizes. In the spirit of the circular economy, the company is pushing the use of recycled materials (PCR = Post Consumer Resin)<\/strong> and uses only one material wherever possible, so that no additional sorting is required in the recycling process.<\/p>\n

Product protection ensured<\/h2>\n

Companies and bottlers can choose from a wide range of closure solutions to ensure product integrity and the quality of the filling product. The Ring Peel Liner, for example, guarantees product protection and counterfeit protection. The tamper-evident seal prevents contamination of the contents<\/strong> and documents to the user that the bottle has not yet been opened. The film can be torn off easily and intuitively by lifting the handle. The outer ring of the ring peel liner remains on the bottle, which ensures a secure seal when resealing. The contents can also be poured out cleanly. In addition to the Ring Peel Liner, Bericap also offers a multi-level \u201eAnti-Counterfeiting (ACF) System\u201c<\/strong>, which enables the appropriate selection to be made for the respective product from a large number of ACF measures.<\/p>

Safe decanting of crop protection products<\/h2>\n

An innovation for product protection, consumer safety and sustainability in one are the Closed transfer system (CTS) solutions<\/strong>. One example is the \u201ePack the Future\u201c award-winning CTS easyconnect for the agricultural sector, which was developed together with the \u201eeasyconnect Working Group\u201c consisting of 13 member companies. The closed transfer system enables the safe transfer of liquid crop protection products from canisters into the spray tank<\/strong> and thus significantly reduces the potential exposure of the user. For this purpose, the tamper-evident screw cap of the canister is connected to a coupler so that the desired amount of product is fed into the spray tank without dripping. The canister is automatically rinsed after complete emptying and can therefore be recycled together with the cap. The CTS is reclosable and leak-proof even when partially emptied.<\/p>\n

Dynamic: sustainable sports caps<\/h2>\n

Sports enthusiasts prefer drinks with easy-to-use closures. The Sport Cap product line with tamper-evident closure offers \u201econvenience to go\u201c with a sustainable approach. For example, the one-piece \u201eBiarritz\u201c sports cap and the two-piece \u201eMonet\u201c premium cap are manufactured in a mono-material design and are therefore perfectly recyclable. Uncomplicated with can be opened with just one hand<\/strong>, All sports caps have an impressive 180-degree opening angle so that you can drink from them without any problems. The Sport caps are also available in a tethered version<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Clip Aside Tethered Caps established as the European market standard<\/h2>\n

More than 15 billion beverages in over 70 filling lines have now been filled by Bericap customers using the Clip Aside Tethered Caps and thus fulfil EU Directive 2019\/904.<\/strong> Because the closures are firmly attached to the bottle, everything can be fed into the recycling process together. The user-friendly closures with 180-degree opening are available for all relevant neck finish sizes from 26 to 38 mm in the various beverage categories: from carbonated soft drinks (CSD) to water, juice and tea drinks to dairy products. Currently the topic \u201eAluminium-Seal-Free\u201c<\/strong> in the discussion surrounding EU Directive 2019\/904, which concerns dairy products such as drinking yoghurts with an aluminium sealing film. Here too, Bericap offers suitable solutions and services so that customers can switch to tethered caps quickly and easily and position themselves for the future.<\/p>\n

After completion of the Integration of Mala Verschluss-Systeme GmbH into the Bericap Group<\/strong> the aluminium closure range now operates under the name Bericap Aluminium GmbH. At Fachpack, the experts will be presenting the varied portfolio of aluminium roll-on closures for wines and spirits, as well as for dairy products and edible oils - from simple ROPP aluminium caps to highly complex safety closures, all of which can be individually designed to customer specifications.<\/p>\n
