The company is thus officially committed to the ten principles of the United Nations in the areas of human rights, labour standards, the environment and anti-corruption.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/?s=gerhard+schubert&amp;cat=-1&amp;date-all=all&amp;begin=&amp;end=\">Gerhard Schubert GmbH<\/a> is strengthening its commitment to sustainable behaviour by joining the UN Global Compact Network Germany. As part of this global initiative, the company is committed to implementing the UN's ten principles in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption. <strong>Marcel Kiessling<\/strong>, Managing Director of Gerhard Schubert GmbH, emphasises:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201eSustainability has always been very important to Schubert. Reaffirming our commitment to acting in a more environmentally friendly way is particularly important to us against the backdrop of current global challenges.\u201c<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Schubert has already developed a sustainability strategy based on the United Nations\u201e 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with its in-house \u201cMission Blue\" programme. This strategy includes <strong>Four central fields of action<\/strong>sustainable corporate management, climate-neutral production, environmentally friendly machines and sustainable packaging solutions. With \u201eDotlock\u201c, the company has developed a composite technology for cardboard packaging without glue, which serves as an environmentally friendly alternative.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to further developing its products, the company is also investing in its infrastructure. In September 2023, the company opened a new hall for final assembly at its headquarters in Crailsheim. There, Schubert relies on a combination of a <strong>large ice storage tank and a modern photovoltaic system<\/strong>, to operate the buildings in a climate-neutral manner in accordance with the requirements of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (Scope 1 and 2).
