Close loops.\u201c P\u00f6ppelmann will be presenting solutions for promoting the circular economy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions at Fakuma 2024. In its 75th anniversary year, the plastics specialist will be demonstrating how the use of recyclates and the recycling-friendly design of products can promote climate protection. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The company's various divisions present their new developments, which are part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/?s=p%C3%B6ppelmann&amp;cat=-1&amp;date-all=all&amp;begin=&amp;end=\">P\u00f6ppelmann<\/a> blue have emerged. The K-Tech division presents a new <strong>jack receptacle, which is made from post-consumer recyclate<\/strong> (PCR) is produced. The material comes from end-of-life vehicles and already fulfils the requirements of the future EU End-of-Life Vehicle Regulation. Compared to products made from new material, GHG emissions can be reduced by 71 per cent. Other innovative solutions for the automotive sector include a holder for sound generators made from household waste and an ESP holder with an eco-design that shows how metal components can be replaced with plastic to save weight.<\/p>\n<p>The Kapsto division manufactures protective caps and plugs that protect components from damage during production and transport. The majority of these products are already made from up to <strong>100 per cent PCR produced<\/strong>. Together with Dr\u00e4gerwerk, a <strong>Plastic component developed for breathing system filters<\/strong>, which enables significant material savings thanks to its new design.
