One highlight is the Sirius 3RV2 circuit breaker, which is made from biomass-balanced plastics. By using bioplastics such as Ultramid BMBcertTM and Ultradur BMBcertTM, Siemens is replacing fossil raw materials with biomethane from agricultural waste. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The sustainable plastic solution makes it possible to <strong>Reduce energy consumption over the entire life cycle<\/strong>, without compromising quality. <a href=\"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/?s=basf&amp;cat=-1&amp;date-all=all&amp;begin=&amp;end=\">BASF<\/a> presents on the <a href=\"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/?s=fakuma&amp;cat=-1&amp;date-all=all&amp;begin=&amp;end=\">Fakuma<\/a> 2024 also plans to expand its TPU product portfolio, which is increasingly focussing on recycling and bio-based materials. With the Elastollan RC series, the company offers products that contain up to 100 per cent recycled TPU and therefore contribute to the reduction of plastic waste. In addition <strong>BASF expands the production of bio-based Elastollan TPU<\/strong>, which is made from renewable raw materials.<\/p>\n<h2>Digital solutions to increase efficiency<\/h2>\n<p>In addition to sustainable materials, BASF will be presenting the new Pacific app for monitoring the product carbon footprint (PCF) at the trade fair. This solution supports manufacturers in achieving their sustainability goals by monitoring the <strong>CO<sub>2<\/sub>-Track the carbon footprint of your products in real time<\/strong> can. This enables manufacturers to reduce their costs and produce more sustainably at the same time.
