The Shanghai World of Packaging (swop) focuses on trends such as smart technologies, sustainable materials and automated packaging solutions. Many international exhibitors will also be taking part.<em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Every autumn, Shanghai is the international marketplace and indispensable forum for the packaging industry in Asia and far beyond. Complex solutions for processing and packaging are in high demand here, which is why <strong>More and more companies, for example from Europe or America<\/strong> to the swop. From 18 to 20 November 2024, exhibitors from China, Hong Kong, the USA, Germany, Taiwan, Japan, Spain, Finland and Luxembourg, among others, will be taking part at the Shanghai New International Expo Center.<\/p>\n<p>In 2024, swop will once again cover the entire processing and packaging chain for food, beverages, confectionery, baked goods, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, non-food and industrial goods. And the introduction of <strong>Themed routes, such as the \u201eGreen and Sustainable Packaging Route\u201c or the \u201eFunctional Packaging Route\u201c<\/strong>, The new, more efficient trade fair experience will bring exhibitors and visitors together in a targeted manner.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Six trends in focus<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The focus of swop 2024 is on six key industry trends, for example <strong>New technologies and energy-efficient production lines<\/strong>, that focus on stability and sustainability. <strong>Intelligent and automated packaging solutions<\/strong> are changing production processes and increasing efficiency. Intelligent packaging solutions for food processing are driving automation forward, while sustainable, environmentally friendly materials are playing an increasingly important role. <strong>Innovative designs<\/strong> for Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) combine functionality with aesthetics, and <strong>Recyclable and lightweight packaging solutions<\/strong> are becoming increasingly relevant for the booming e-commerce and logistics sector. At swop, these topics also play a major role in numerous special forums and in the supporting programme.
