The coalition's ambitious goals for the circular economy have stalled due to the coalition's exit. The BDE Federal Association of the German Waste Management, Water and Circular Economy is calling for the remaining time until the election to be used to make concrete progress. A key issue is the National Circular Economy Strategy (NKWS), which has been stalled for months. Siegesmund warns: \u201eA failure of the NKWS would be a fatal signal. We need a clear framework to achieve the raw materials transition.\u201c Other projects such as the recycling label, the digital product passport and the modernisation of the Commercial Waste Ordinance must not come to nothing either.<\/p>

According to the association, the circular economy is key to minimising the consumption of fossil and finite raw materials and achieving climate protection goals. The BDE believes that this is not only the responsibility of politicians, but also of companies and consumers. The association is calling for concrete incentives to promote circular business models, strengthen investment in modern recycling technologies and regulate the export of recyclable materials.<\/p>

The BDE President warns that a decisive course can be set in the time remaining until the election. This is not only essential for climate protection, but also for Germany's economic stability and international competitiveness. \u201eTime is pressing.
