The innovation represents a further step towards sustainable packaging solutions.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>MasterFoods, known for its tomato sauces, is focussing on sustainability with new paper-based packaging. From November 2024, the company will be testing <strong>Recyclable disposable packaging<\/strong>, which can be disposed of via kerbside recycling. Compared to the previous plastic packaging, the new variant consists of <strong>58 per cent less plastic<\/strong>. After five years of research and an investment of three million dollars <strong>the solution combines practical handling with recyclability<\/strong>. According to Heague, a complete switchover could result in around <strong>190 tonnes of plastic saved annually<\/strong> become.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative is being carried out in collaboration with the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO). The packaging was developed in partnership with Easysnap Technology, an Italian company specialising in sustainable packaging solutions. The test run is being carried out at various locations such as sports stadiums, petrol stations and bakeries.
