Sustainability and recyclability could make the product even more attractive in the future.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/?s=European+Aluminium+Foil+Association\">European Aluminium Foil Association<\/a> (EAFA) has published the results of a recent consumer survey on the use of aluminium foil in Europe. The survey was conducted in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the UK and Poland and includes the opinions of 6,000 consumers. This use is particularly widespread in southern European countries such as France (75 per cent) and Spain (74 per cent). In Germany and Poland, usage is 63 per cent and 66 per cent respectively. Italy and Spain lead the way with the highest weekly usage rates. At the same time, alternatives such as cling film (54 per cent) and resealable plastic containers (50 per cent) are gaining in importance, particularly in Germany.<\/p>\n<p>According to EAFA, sustainability is playing an increasingly important role in the choice of packaging materials. The <strong>Recyclability of aluminium foil is an important advantage<\/strong>, However, awareness of this remains limited. According to Guido Aufdemkamp, Managing Director of EAFA, the results show how versatile aluminium foil is.
