Berry Global's European Flexibles Division has increased the proportion of recycled polyethylene (PCR-PE) in its products by 36 per cent in 2024. This underlines the company's commitment to sustainable packaging solutions and the promotion of the circular economy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Berry Global<\/a> reports a significant increase in the use of recycled plastics in flexible film products. Compared to the previous year, an additional 4,386 tonnes of post-consumer recycled polyethylene (PCR-PE) were processed. These materials are used in numerous packaging applications, including Primary packaging such as form-fill-seal and heavy-duty bags<\/strong> for industry and construction as well as secondary and tertiary packaging such as shrink and stretch films for the food and beverage industry.<\/p>\n

The company is pursuing the goal of achieving a 30 per cent recycled content in its FMCG packaging products by 2030. This strategy is in line with the global sustainability goals of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation and other initiatives to promote the circular economy.<\/p>
