Mets\u00e4 Board is planning major investments in its mill in Simpele, Finland, to increase production efficiency and reduce its carbon footprint. The modernisation includes new technologies and is part of the strategy to achieve fossil-free production by 2030.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Finnish company Mets\u00e4 Board<\/a> has announced a comprehensive modernisation of its plant in Simpele. With an investment volume of around 60 million euros, the plant is to be modernised by the end of 2025. Product quality and sustainability of cartonboard production improved<\/strong> will be realised. The measures include the modernisation of the pre-drying process and the installation of a state-of-the-art coating system. These are intended to improve the print quality and visual consistency of the Mets\u00e4Board Classic cartonboard and to achieve a Enabling the switch to fossil-free production<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
