The Robotics, Automated Solutions and Machine Vision departments of the VDMA Robotics + Automation Association have elected new board members. The appointments are intended to advance the sectors through expertise and strategic impetus.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Volker Spanier remains Chairman of VDMA Robotics<\/strong><\/h2>\n

At the robotics department meeting of the VDMA<\/a> Robotics + Automation, Volker Spanier, Head of Manufacturing Solutions at Epson Germany, was confirmed as Chairman for the 2024-2027 term of office. He explained that the robotics industry is facing challenges due to Political and global developments<\/strong>, which also offer opportunities.<\/p>\n

The new board is made up of eight industry experts, including Thomas H\u00e4hn (United Robotics Group), Katharina Jessa (Wandelbots GmbH) and Erich Schober (KUKA Deutschland GmbH). The aim of the Executive Board is to further strengthen the innovative power of robotics.<\/p>

New name and Management Board for Automated Solutions<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Automated Solutions department, formerly Integrated Assembly Solutions, re-elected J\u00f6rg Kipper, Managing Director of Festo Vertrieb GmbH, as Chairman. The new name is intended to reflect the increasing Specialisation and the broader range of members<\/strong> The company's portfolio is characterised by a wide variety of products and services, ranging from component suppliers to system manufacturers.<\/p>\n

In addition to J\u00f6rg Kipper, Thomas Ernst (PIA Automation Holding) and Enno Scharphuis (Bosch Rexroth) are also members of the Executive Board. The specialist department sees cross-industry collaboration as playing a key role in Europe's transformation and competitiveness.<\/p>\n

Dr Olaf Munkelt heads Machine Vision<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Dr Olaf Munkelt, Managing Director of MVTec Software GmbH, has been elected Chairman of the Machine Vision department and succeeds Mark Williamson. Munkelt sees the Image processing a key technology for digitalisation<\/strong> and competitiveness of European industry.<\/p>\n

The new board members will manage projects and strategies for the respective specialist areas and thus play an active role in shaping the future of automation.<\/p>\n
