S\u00fcdpack signed Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg's climate protection agreement on 15 November 2024. With concrete measures, the company aims to reduce its CO\u2082<\/sub>emissions by 32 per cent and become climate-neutral in the long term.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The film manufacturer South pack<\/a> is one of 55 companies to join the Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg Climate Alliance. The initiative, which was launched jointly by the State Ministry for the Environment, Climate Protection and the Energy Sector and committed companies, has set itself the goal of being a pioneer in climate protection in Germany. The partners have committed themselves to minimising their report and successively reduce greenhouse gas emissions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As part of the Science Based Targets initiative and its own sustainability strategy, the company aims to reduce its emissions in the Scope 1, 2 and 3.1 categories by 32 per cent by 2030 compared to the base year 2021. This corresponds to a reduction of 128,958 tonnes of CO\u2082<\/sub>.<\/p>

The measures include the Gradual replacement of natural gas with biogas and biomethane<\/strong> and the use of climate-friendly energy sources. From 2025, all of the company's European sites will be powered by renewable electricity. The introduction of an energy management system in accordance with ISO 50001 is intended to tap into additional efficiency potential. The products themselves are a key lever for reducing emissions. S\u00fcdpack has a Portfolio CO\u2082<\/sub>-poorer packaging solutions<\/strong> which is constantly being expanded and offers an alternative to conventional material structures.<\/p>\n
