Everything in one pot, hot water on top - done! Practical and sustainable at the same time.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h3><strong>A healthy approach to packaging<\/strong><\/h3><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>The algae material contains <strong>Vitamins, minerals and fibre<\/strong>. It is neutral in flavour and has a shelf life of up to two years. In addition to foodstuffs such as sandwiches, sweets, spices or powders such as coffee and tea, EvoWare also packs non-food products such as toothpick tins or hygiene products. For cold drinks, the company even offers <strong>edible cups<\/strong> called \u201eEllo Jello\u201c - with flavours such as lychee, peppermint or green tea.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>The packaging can be printed and coloured and dissolves on contact with hot water. However, edible packaging is not always safe to use as an outer packaging: EvoWare recommends that the <strong>Products to be used as inner packaging<\/strong>, to avoid hygiene problems. The edible solution is therefore ideal for directly consumable products or small packaging that is difficult to recycle.<\/p><h3>\u00a0<\/h3><h3><strong>A double benefit for Indonesia<\/strong><\/h3><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>The idea arose from a double problem in Indonesia: on the one hand, the country is one of the world's biggest producers of plastic waste and, on the other, it is one of the largest producers of seaweed. EvoWare creates a win-win situation with its edible packaging: <strong>Plastic waste is reduced and the value chain of local algae farmers is strengthened<\/strong>.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Algae require neither fertiliser nor much space for cultivation, are fast-growing and offer an additional source of income. The utilisation of seaweed in packaging also gives <strong>surplus material a useful function<\/strong> and thus supports the environment and the economy in equal measure.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><a
