With its new Combi steel drum, Sch\u00fctz combines the corrosion resistance and cleanliness of a plastic drum with the stability and permeation protection of a steel drum.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Stability, safety, protection against permeation - steel has many useful properties for packaging. In other respects, however, such as chemical resistance, freedom from corrosion or protection of the purity of the contents, plastic is superior. With the Combi steel drum Sch\u00fctz now combines both materials<\/strong> into an innovative overall solution.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

The requirements for packaging that arise from the filling product and the processes in the supply chain are often complex and frequently contradictory. In the drum sector, steel and plastic drums are traditionally available with their individual strengths. The Sch\u00fctz Combi steel drum takes a new approach and combines thehe exterior is in the form of a standard painted steel drum with an inner container made of high-quality HDPE plastic.<\/strong> Customers can choose between a 205-litre version with a three-kilogram inner container or a 202-litre version with a six-kilogram plastic insert, as well as between different steel drum thicknesses.<\/p>

This combination proves to be extremely advantageous for many applications: The two independent containers double leakage protection is always provided.<\/strong> The steel jacket effectively prevents permeation. At the same time, corrosion inside the steel drum does not play a role, as the contents do not even come into contact with it, which benefits the increased protection of product quality. The new drum solution also offers many advantages in the process flow. For hot filling, for example<\/strong>A sensitive process in which there is always a risk of collapse with traditional PE drums. No risk with the Sch\u00fctz Combi drum. Even direct stacking afterwards is naturally no problem.<\/p>\n

The new product has been in series production at the Sch\u00fctz plant in Selters since autumn 2024. On request Customised branding through screen printing<\/strong> take place. The company also offers its customers a further option: As an alternative to painted standard steel drums, the innovative laser drum from Sch\u00fctz can also be ordered for the drum exterior, which sets new standards with the highest material and processing quality.<\/p>\n
